JOURNALISM'S INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL edition 2008 starts by Eugenio Scalfari, the Indipendent journalist foundator of "Repubblica" the April 9 and will end April, 13 in PERUGIA. Why in Perugia? Perugia has one of most important Tv-Journalists' School in Italy (by RAI, the italian Television), where every year come from the new Italian's Tv-journalists. That is the second Festival. In my country is the only one. the italian journalism in the last times token a bad ways. To understand it is very difficolt as for us. In U.K. there are Newspapers called 'tabloid', where find news about gossip and crimes, and good newspapers where find others news. In Italy gossip and 'crime news' where writes in periodicals, but in the last 3-4 years, as the same time of the 'down culturale' of tv-shows has been a 'cultural down' in Newspapers, Tv-journals and also in internet. I think is a cultural problem, that has deep raisons: economy, society, news, tv(mass-media) but that phenomenon cames from society, only after we can foud in the mass-media. The first suggestions we have from american tv-movies and american tv-journals, after that the individualism that cames from the cancellations of ideologies ( in the last election results fascists an comunists parties will not has rappresentats) apported a new 'stylife'. If some years ago comunists and catholics ( We can divieded italian society in these 2 parts) still exists, has ideals , but also an 'italian form' of comunism and 'italian form' of fascism, that means also help themself, now only nepotism and 'friends' can help someone that wants to make career. The nepotism ( the baddest thing of italian culture, for me) some times ago was hidden, now not. I don't know if that thing is good or bad, but I know that if our society wants defeat nepotism - that's the first part of 'mafia culture'-; We must show it, but at the same time we must defeat it!
